Do I purchase or lease?

This decision can be very complex and personal. Many factors will influence the process. The primary focus will be on usage parameters, organizational structure and finances including tax status. This aspect should be analyzed by your professional accountant or adviser. An incorrect finance structure may have costly results. US JETCORP consultants deliver options that maximize your investment in private or commercial aviation.

In order to operate an aircraft you need the infrastructure to do so. This means employing experienced personnel, maintenance facilities, fuel contracts, a professional management company etc. Without these resources you may need to consider an alternative form of aircraft acquisition such as ACMI lease or a full charter program. Knowledge and experience will save you time and money.

An outright purchase is the least restrictive type of acquisition if the funds are readily available. The seller only requires a guarantee of payment and is not interested in your business plan, financial history or corporate structure. Having a reputable bank and/or sufficient cash on hand should be all that you require.

US JETCORP will help you determine the correct aircraft for your mission and provide all the services needed to inspect, acquire, register and operate your new aircraft.

If your interest is to preserve your capital, a US JETCORP financial partner will securely convert your Bank Guarantee (BG), Letter of Credit (SBLC), precious metals or commodities into cash funding. The terms and conditions are competitive, reliable and flexible. Solutions are structured to fit individual or corporate needs.

Primary alternatives to an outright purchase are a variety of lease purchase contracts or dry lease contracts.

These typically offer longer terms of 2-7 years and can be structured with an option to purchase at the end of the lease. The costs of outright aircraft purchase could be restrictive to an individual or airline that is planning to start or expand a fleet. A lease purchase agreement allows the cost to be spread over several years and may afford a favorable tax benefit.

Shorter term lease agreements of 2 years or less are typically structured as ACMI lease or wet lease agreements. This form of lease is routinely used to replace maintenance grounded aircraft or to provide additional lift to an airline or corporate flight department on a short term or ‘as needed’ basis.

An Aircraft for Sale?

An independent broker can be your best option for getting the most money for your aircraft with the least amount of risk and trouble. A quality aircraft broker is a trusted marketing expert acting in your best interest. He reports to you regularly like a staff member but works on straight commission, without a salary, without benefits, and doesn’t mind that he will be laid off when the aircraft sells. You instantly gain the benefit of experienced professionals that run on results. Experience you could not hire in any other manner for such a short time period.

Offer your aircraft to our extensive network of international buyers and buyer agents. We are continually sourcing desirable aircraft in the private direct sale market. The US JETCORP sales network is specialized in ‘quiet’ and off market sales.  These are aircraft that are not advertised in magazines and posted on websites. They are marketed and sold discretely and successfully directly to the new end user.

There is never a fee for an initial consultation and it’s always confidential.
